Getting Bloods and Treatment Room Services Done

 

From the 1st April 2017, the contracting for these services changed –

 

All Bloods are now done by City Care

Bloods can be done at various sites in the community

You may get blood tests done at Health point by appointment. This at Tesco’s Top Valley Site.

The CityCare Phlebotomy clinic above is for aged 12+

 

The paediatric phlebotomy clinic for those aged 1 to 12 is being delivered by Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust in the community and that service is accessible by GP or patient contacting the Nottinghamshire Healthcare SPA on 0300 123 3387

 

Treatment Room (Weekday)

 

Treatment Room – this is contracted to City Care

Patients can contact the service directly via contacting the Nottingham City Health and Care Point on:

0300 131 0300

Then selecting Option 1 followed by Option 3

 

The aim of the service is to provide a wound care treatment room service on an appointment basis for patients requiring minor interventions

including (but not exclusively confined to):

 

Postoperative Care for patients able to attend a clinic

  • Dressing changes
  • Suture removal
  • Wound examination to check healing process
  • Burn management
  • Minor trauma
  • Closure laceration – by simple means, i.e. not requiring a suture

 

The service will provide postoperative care every weekday offering appointments within 24 hours when clinically appropriate between the hours of 8am-6pm, excluding bank holidays.

 

 

Dressings service

  • Dressings to arterial leg ulcers
  • Dressings to venous leg ulcers

 

Dressing service must be available opportunistically every weekday offering appointments within 24/48 hours when clinically appropriate between the hours of 8am-6pm, excluding bank holidays. Treatment can be postponed and dealt with via a separate clinic appointment if this is both appropriate and acceptable for the patient
